Whether you’re a one-person show and rely on your vehicle to get the job done, or you manage an entire fleet for your workforce, Renault trucks should always sit at the top of your consideration list.

In this post, we’re going to look at the Renault T series, the industries it’s designed for, and the range of T trucks we have to offer our customers.

What is the Renault T?

The Renault T series, introduced in 2013, is a range of heavy-duty trucks designed for long-distance transport. These large, long-haul vehicles are known for their reliability and how efficiently they operate while keeping drivers safe.

Because these heavy goods vehicles are built for regional journeying, they feature an incredibly comfortable cab and a smooth, enjoyable driving experience to keep the driver happy during their hours on the road.

These trucks are aerodynamically designed, the cab being tested and developed with the aid of a wind tunnel to streamline its shape for efficiency. This also helps with fuel consumption, as the less resistance and drag, the less hard the truck has to work to accelerate, saving you money on fuel.

The T series utilises the fantastic 13ltr Turbo Compound Engine, designed for reducing fuel consumption. This engine features turbo compound technology to capture residual exhaust energy and convert it into mechanical power, as well as improved engine combustion due to new precision injectors and patented wave pistons.

By redesigning certain engine components, including the crankshaft and connecting rods, Renault has minimised internal friction in this advanced engine, which enhances its efficiency. In addition, a ball-bearing turbocharger delivers an improved response time for an even better performance.

The T series features Renault’s Optidriver system, an automated manual gearbox which has been designed to be fuel-efficient and easy to drive. It can be shifted manually or set to automatic, where it will select the correct gear for the current driving condition automatically. Its smooth gear engagement allows for a minimised risk of gear jump-out, leaving drivers with a steady drive.

Renault T High

While the Renault T and the T High are very similar vehicles, there are some differences that make them each suited to different applications.

As the name suggests, the Renault T High has a higher cab than the other T trucks. This allows for a more spacious interior, which goes hand in hand with another difference: the cab floor. The T High has a flat cab floor due to the absence of an engine tunnel. Because of this, the cab feels roomier and more comfortable, which is only enhanced by the higher roofline.

Thanks to this more comfortable cab, the T High is better suited for even longer journeys than the standard T truck. Use the High T for easy national journeys in a sleeper cab that provides familiar comfort, with a fridge, sleeping area, swivelling seats, and storage. Your home on the road.

What is the T truck best suited for?

The Renault T truck has been designed and built for long-distance journeys, be they regional or national. They are made to transport goods from A to B with efficiency and reliability while being fuel-efficient to help you maintain a healthy bottom line.
